NISSAN New Vehicle Warranty Information

Basic Philosophy Behind Nissan Warranty

A warranty is considered as one of the after-sales services that has been growing steadily in importance as competition tightens in the field of automobile sales.
The warranty services are carried out during the early stage of the vehicle’s lifetime and
Nissan warrant the repair or replace of any part on the vehicle which proves defective in materials or workmanship free of charge, except for those items which is under “Items not covered by warranty” mentioned in the Warranty Booklet Information.

It is our belief that warranty services have, among others, two especially important objectives:
1. To ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty toward the product, dealer and Nissan by maintaining the quality of the product after production.
2. To improve the quality of Nissan products by feedback: The information obtained from warranty items is effectively utilized, by being analyzed and relayed back to the design, development and any other related departments at Nissan.

New Vehicle Warranty
This warranty applies to the vehicle itself. This means that the warranty covers all components of the vehicle, including tools, which were originally installed at the plant. However, there are some exceptions for warrantable items.

The New Vehicle Warranty becomes valid from the date the vehicle is delivered to the original retail purchaser or when the vehicle is first put into use, whichever comes earlier.

A vehicle delivered to a customer is warranted for either 50,000 Kilometers / 30,000 Miles or 24 Months, whichever comes first. In addition, any subsequent purchasers are able to use the vehicle with the remaining warranty coverage.

What you must do?
1. Properly use, maintain and care for your vehicle as outlined in the OWNER’S MANUAL and the MAINTENANCE SECTION in the booklet.
2. Take your vehicle to authorized Nissan dealer during regular business hours only at your expense in order to obtain warranty service
3. Check for trim, paint or other appearance defects at the time the new vehicle is delivered and report to your selling dealer without delay.
4. Retain maintenance service records in the event a question should arise concerning the vehicle’s maintenance.
