Zone body construction – a high-strength cabin structure
Channel energy four ways. The focus is Zone Body construction – a high-strength cabin structure built with crossmembers and reinforcements – surrounding you, while at the front and rear are energy absorbing crushable structures.

1, 2 Front and rear crumple zones help to absorb impact energy, reducing the amount of crash energy absorbed by the passenger compartment.

3 Hood buckling creases allow the hood to buckle at predetermined points, to help prevent it from intruding into the passenger compartment in certain frontal impacts.

4 Pipe-style steel side-door guard beams help provide protection in the event of side impacts. Constructed like a thick-walled hollow pipe, these beams are welded into every door and offer added strength.
